Running multiple (ATX) Power Supplies in Series at 18 or 24 Volts! Note that is requires removing the ground connection (either by using a 2 wire power cord or by cutting the ground on the AC side inside the power supply case) and doing that is potentially dangerous. There is a reason why the AC side of a power supplies are grounded.

"Building iPhone Apps with HTML5" by Jonathan Stark. A great little eBook from O'Reilly that shows how a standard HTML page can slowly become more and more like an iPhone app until the differences are erased.

When stacking multiple batteries in parallel for greater current capacity, always use a "star" pattern where each battery is individually connected back to a single set of terminal posts. If you just string them in a "ladder" the lead resistance will result in the battery farthest from the load providing less current than the one nearest the load. Alternatively, you can connect the batteries in sets of two, then connect those sets together to form two sets of two batteries, and so on.

Gerard HARBONNIER[GH-wanadoo-W2] Questions:

I tried to understand the code by C Barnard abour LCD with 74HC595.
Looks like there are missing lines or statements, unless I missed something.

i.e.: in out74595, "shift_data" is never used, as well as "bitcount" "bitmask".
LCD_init is missing (unless you wrote it elsewhere, and anyway it is easy to write).

Furthermore, I'm not really C expert (!!) and compact C writing is somewhat difficult to understand!! "bitmask=1<>=1" for instance is more than a labyrinth to mee!!

Thanks for all, and anyway great job on this site.

Gerard, F6EEQ
